Lights, Camel, Action!

Wow, what an incredible performance of our nativity today. We were absolutely amazing! We danced, laughed, sang, talked loudly and confidently and made our parents and teachers so proud.

Now we are sad it's all over!

Comparing Amounts

We have been doing such an amazing job in Maths. We love being able to work with a friend and explain our ideas and try out different ways of doing things. Today we played a game with our partner and made different amounts greater than 10. We had to discuss who's were greater, fewer, smallest, biggest, more than and less than.

Our Campaign Videos

As part of our project, we wanted to create a campaign video to promote the importance of bees and make the whole world aware of the bees crisis and what each person can do to help them.

We worked as a group to each plan what we were going to say and we made our own video. Our teachers are SO proud of how we have collaborated and articulated our learning with confidence and pride.

Whisby Trip

We went to Whisby Nature Park for our trip and had the best time.

We went on the coach and the first thing we did was go on a very exciting bug hunt. We found the most incredible wildlife such as a newt, spiders, beetles, slugs and so much more. Then we took them inside to see if we could identify their names and we were so good at searching for what they were called. We were amazed!

Then we made dens! Lots of us thought this was the best part of the day. We were put into teams and Miss Broxholme gave us 30 minutes to see which team could build the best den in that time. We were only allowed one gap for the doorway and we all had to fit inside it. It was tricky, but so much fun! Some of us added decorations for the roof and flowers beside the door.

Making Pizza's

We were very lucky today because we had the opportunity to make our own pizzas. They were absolutely delicious!

We put our aprons and chef's hats on, rolled the dough, spread the tomato sauce and chose whatever toppings we wanted. Then we took them home and ate them.

Bee Talk

We were so lucky to have Mrs Archer come into school today and talk about the bees she has at home. It was absolutely fascinating and we learnt so many cool facts. We learnt about the queen bees jobs and life cycle of bees.

We got to try some of Mrs Archer's delicious honey and it was so yummy! We also got to try on a bee keepers special clothing.

We were buzzing with joy this afternoon!

PE

We are absolutely loving PE with Miss Mumby this term. We have been practising different ways of demonstrating ball control. We had so much fun making the most of the sunshine practising football techniques.

SOUL

Today, we did our first ever SOUL style lesson. It was so much fun.

We organised ourselves into groups and then had to work together to find answers to the question, 'How can we save the bees?' We were having so much fun it lasted a whole morning. After this we presented our learning to the whole class. Miss Broxholme was very proud of us and how independent we were.

Project Launch

Our project launch was absolutely amazing! We began the day by arriving into the classroom with a mystery surprise on the table.

Then we discovered we had a challenge from Ant and Dec from 'I'm a Celebrity?' Ant left us a message to say we would be doing our very own bush tucker trials. We had to think of a group name and compete against Class 1 to see which class could eat the gruesome clubs the quickest.

It was the Adventurers Vs Kangaroos.

Then we had Belinda come to visit us to show us her amazing, exotic animals. We were in absolute awe and loved hearing about all the interesting information about the land snails, tortoise, hedgehog, snakes and tarantula.

We were so brave and blew our teachers away with holding so many of the animals.
